ABC2 goal is to Increase access and understanding of the Community Feeding Program, that connects young farmers from the Farmers in Training Program to young chefs from the Chefs in Training Program all to prepare healthy meals for poor residents.

Sustaining the Food Sovereignty Program in 2021. ABC2 is seeking $66,000 for these young led effort to expand the healthy foods access to young people, families, and seniors in Eastern NC.

A Better Chance A Better Community (ABC2) was founded in 2012 by Mr. Chester Williams to “empower young people by providing a life skills program that promotes positive values, healthy habits, and education through community development, culture, and awareness– resulting in real life power, World Changers as Game Changers” The World Changers Program is a network of youth working collectively for positive community change. In the seven years since its founding, A Better Chance, A Better Community(ABC2) has played a major role in the positive transformation of the Roanoke Valley from an area with too many unproductive, unsupervised kids with too much time to get into trouble to one providing young people with a valuable structured program which focuses on community development, youth engagement and fun. RADIAH JOHNSON will speak at the ABC2 COSPLAY COSTUME PARTY CONTEST

Radiah Johnson of My Sisters Dreamer Domestic Violence Support Center will be the keynote motivational speaker at the forthcoming ABC2 Oct. 31st event! On October 31, 2019 ABC2 is going to have a CosPlay Costume party/Contest and Meet & Greet with youth, elected officials, service providers, the new Community Advocate hire, and survivors of Domestic Violence and their children. ABC2 is launching the next phase of it's work in Youth & Community Empowerment focusing on Domestic Violence Survival. ABC2 housed a regional Community Advocate to provide outreach and referral of service for survivors of Domestic Violence. The event will be held at 5:30pm - 9pm Halifax Community College Weldon, N.C.
